NEW MEXICO WILDCATS BEAT THE UTAH SAINTS |
|
The New Mexico Wildcats Professional Football Club defeated the very much improved Utah Saints Saturday night by a score of 32-9 before a packed house of approximately 4,000 energized fans at the Santa Ana Star Center. The 'Cats ran out to an early lead in the first quarter and added to that lead throughout the game enroute to their 2nd win of the season. The Wildcats' record now improves to 2-5, which moves the 'Cats to within just three games of the Arizona Adrenaline in their battle for second place in the division.
THE WILDCAT FAN FOOTBALL COUNT FOR THE UTAH GAME WAS 61. This means that 61 AIFA approved league footballs either flew into the stands during the course of the game and/or were physically given out to Wildcat fans before, during and after the game. Don't miss your chance to take home an AIFA league football from the next Wildcats home game.
REMEMBER--ALL LEAGUE FOOTBALLS GOING INTO THE STANDS DURING THE COURSE OF A FOOTBALL GAME ARE YOURS TO KEEP !!
ADDITIONALLY, AT THE END OF EVERY HOME GAME, FANS ARE INVITED TO COME ONTO THE WILDCATS' BRAND NEW INDOOR TURF TO MEET THE PLAYERS AND GET THEIR AUTOGRAPHS.

WILDCATS LOSE TO THE WYOMING CAVALRY |
|
The New Mexico Wildcats Professional Football Club lost to the Wyoming Cavalry in Casper, Wyoming on Thursday night by a score of 80-34.
The Wildcats kept the game tight in the first half and only trailed by a score of 24-14 in the second quarter, but the division leading Cavalry became too much for the young Wildcats and won the game going away. With this loss, the Wildcats dropped to 1-5, while the Cavalry ran its record to 5-0.
The next home is this coming Saturday night, May 10, 2008, at 7:05 P.M. against the Utah Saints, which is a team the Wildcats beat earlier in the season by a score of 53-48. If you're a true Wildcat fan, you won't want to miss this game. It is the City of Rio Rancho night at the Santa Ana Star Center and valuable merchandise will be given out to many of the first fans entering the arena.
Don't forget, the nets are never up at the Santa Ana Star Center. What does that mean ?
AIFA LEAGUE FOOTBALLS WILL BE FLYING EVERYWHERE AROUND THE ARENA AND YOU GET TO KEEP ANY FOOTBALLS ENTERING THE STANDS. PLEASE HELP THE WILDCATS KEEP TRACK OF THE NUMBER OF FOOTBALLS TAKEN HOME BY MANY LUCKY FANS.

WILDCATS LOSE A CLOSE ONE! |
|
The New Mexico Wildcats roared back only to lose a close game to the Arizona Adrenaline in its inaugural home game at the Santa Ana Star Center last night by a score of 63-46. The Wildcats started out slow falling behind by scores of 29-6 and 35-14 before coming back early in the fourth quarter to trail only by a score of 41-40. The Adrenaline then scored the next 20 points and went on to win before a packed house of over 4,200 extremely excited fans.
The 2008 inaugural home game was sponsored by the Santa Ana Star Casino, who generously handed out free merchandise to the Wildcat fans.
Don't forget. Every football that goes into the stands is yours to keep. There are no nets behind the goal posts and the footballs fly into the stands from the playing field. In fact, at last nights game, the Wildcats used all of the alotted game balls and more. In other words, several dozen footballs went home to many lucky fans who attended the game.
For all future home games, the Wildcats will keep track of all of the footballs going into the stands from the playing field and/or being given to fans during the course of the game.
THE FAN FOOTBALL COUNT FOR GAME ONE IS 100 FOOTBALLS TAKEN HOME BY WILDCAT FANS.
ITS GREAT TO BE A NEW MEXICO WILDCAT FAN !!
The Wildcats now travel to Casper, Wyoming this Thursday, May 1st to face the division leading Wyoming Cavalry.
The next home game will be May 10, 2008 against the Utah Saints. Come out and join the fun!
